Community Partnerships & Advocacy

We are dedicated members of the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the Oregon Restaurant and Lodging Association. It is a privilege to participate in their meetings and events as we work together to support our local community (think about events such as Gresham’s Teddy Bear Parade). We’re also active members of 100 Women Who Care – East County, a collective of local women who meet quarterly to pool $100 donations and make a high‑impact gift to a nonprofit chosen by vote. In just one hour, the group turns individual generosity into more than $10,000 of direct support for organizations serving Gresham and East County. By collaborating with these organizations, we strengthen our community while also helping attract visitors, food lovers, and families to the Portland metro and Gresham area—keeping our region vibrant, welcoming, and growing.

About the Rockwood Community

Rockwood is one of the most vibrant and diverse neighborhoods in Southeast Portland / West Gresham, home to more than 40,000 residents. Once a predominantly white, middle-class commuter suburb, the area has evolved significantly over time due to demographic shifts and gentrification.

Today, Rockwood is recognized as both one of Oregon’s most challenged and exciting communities. Despite facing income disparities and historic underinvestment, it remains resilient, culturally rich, and full of potential—qualities that Flavours of India proudly reflects and supports.
